CDK Global

At CDK Global I managed 10 product designers across 3 business units. We tackled challenges in Advertising, Data & Analytics, as well as Shared Services. We also assisted in picking up projects from other areas of the business that needed to get done on a project-by-project basis.

Design System

At CDK one of the teams that I oversaw was our design system team. This team was dedicated towards building out a powerful design system that could accommodate over 100 products in over 100 countries. Together we spearheaded creating the largest design system in the automotive industry. Before even officially launching the design system globally we had six different products from mobile through desktop fully up and running on the design system with another 6 starting to utilize it. It was a huge success that allowed us to bring consistency and speed to our products.

As part of this effort we not only brought our products closer together, but we also brought a global company closer together. We had marketing, legal, technical writing, product, engineering, design, and more, contributing to the effort to ensure it was a success. The design system launched as not only a way to design and build our products, but how to utilize our brand both internally and externally.
